    Hello Gary,

As you know none of we are Doctor's but can only give help by our own experiences and condition's.

Do as steve's suggested but here in the UK you can't phone and ask for results until you see the doctor every 6mths and in the meantime a sister is in hand just for help.

I think theres more to it and you condition and i'll hit my hat if they don't say you have SLE or Sjogren's disease which i have, because my knee's turn and when trying to walk my legs go wobbly my hubby always says it looks like i've had loads of pop.lol and you may have arthritis.

If your not in the uk get on the phone mate and ask for your results because your paying for them and the specialist and results come back within a week to 2wks the most.

My rhem just called me back after I left a message for her, now she is my first rhem and I have only seen her once, I called to tell her that my legs and feet are numb and I have having involuntary movements and weird sensations in my right leg, I had x-rays and bloodwork on last fri and she had the results from the x-rays she told me my bones were fine but I have osteoarthritis in my knees and hands, now my diagnosis was tumid lupus by my derm about 3 months ago (biopsy from rash) tumid lupus is supposed to be only on the skin right? that is what I asked her and she said yes, and I said why do I have all these other problems that have been part of my life as long as I can remember, and no doctor has ever been able to tell what the problem is, and she won't tell me anything, after all this time I just need someone who knows what's wrong with me to validate it so I can deal with the guilt I have been carrying around with me for not doing something about this along time ago, instead I just ignored it until it went away or didnt think about it or convinced all these aches and pains and spasms and all the other that goes along with it were just things that happen to everybody, because when you don't know any better you just believe that everybody is like that. Am I the only one? I know I'm not but it sure feels that way sometimes.

Hello gkf, I get the itchy scalp and little blisters on it and my ears. I presently have several lesions on my chest and backs of hands from the sun I believe. Heat and sun seem to really bring it out. I slather in sunscreen. Definately tell your doc the new symptoms and document and file all things. Your journey is rather frightening at first and then you realize you are not alone and there are some good docs out there who have helped me so much. I cried a lot at first and truly missed who I used to be, but slowly I am learning to love the new me. I wish you the best.

    Hi Gary,

Well i am pleased you managed to get some results and i do know osteoarthritis can be bad my dad had they for years, his knee caps started crumbling inside besides his vertebras going they told him not before he died that he's need a supportive collar for his neck but he eventually went with cancer.
I get spasms like yourself in my calfs and legs plus it affects my toes and that comes from the sjogren's alot.

Don't carry guilt mate because like you i had ailments and always thought my life would pic up then i was shocked by being told it was all connected to Lupus and the biggest JOKE is i've been under rheumo in the past and none have done no furthur tests for Lupus.

It can get you down and be annoying but you now need to know how bad it is in your knee caps.

    Terri x
