Thanks for getting back to us and letting we know how your appointment went, i always let the member's know how mine go.
Well lets hope when next Tuesday arrives he's a specialist who treats his patients for what his profession is for and does'nt fob you off, you've gone through yesterday what i'm going through each time but my 2nd appointment is'nt till january and i'm like yourself hoping he'll come up trumps for me properly and don't hold things back.
So best of luck mate. Terri xxx
I am glad that your appointment went well. I, also, hope that your doctor is one who's interested in your health and not his accolades. It sounds as if he might be :-). Please let us know what your test results are. I wish you the very best.
Peace and Blessings
All the very best with your appointment tomorrow and results and please get back to us and let we know how you got on.

Thanks, I did receive some bad news this last week regarding my lungs. I have pulmonary hypertension with my pulmonary artery pressures being 49 showing from my echocardiagram. So I have to have more tests done, and also being sent to another specialist for pulmonary hypertension. It's very scary and I'm hoping they caught this in time, although I know I've had it at least 3 years now. So this is all just added medical stuff, and its very disinheartning and frustrating.
I am so sorry Serfauna! I know this medical stuff is really hard to handle when it comes one on top of the other but the up side is that they have found it and now they can make a plan to help slow it down and make you feel better. Try not to stress yourself over it (I know it is easier said then done) because that will just cause you to feel worse.
Remember that we are here for you if you need us. Keep us posted on what is going on.
Sorry to hear mate they've found pulmonary hypertension, i hope it's not to strong in your lungs and heart. I have read about it and they can help with it but they like to see what stages it's got to.
Like tgal said we're here for you anytime and please keep we updated and do takecare.

Well just got home, everything came back normal except SED rate was a little elevated.. So I guess I don't have lupus.
Just because everything came back ok, it does'nt mean you have'nt got Lupus. I have Lupus and half the time my results come back normal and i'm putting below what SED means for you incase you don't know.
The sedimentation rate (sed rate) blood test measures how quickly red blood cells (erythrocytes) settle in a test tube in one hour. The more red cells that fall to the bottom of the test tube in one hour, the higher the sed rate.
When inflammation is present in the body, certain proteins cause red blood cells to stick together and fall more quickly than normal to the bottom of the tube. These proteins are produced by the liver and the immune system under many abnormal conditions, such as an infection, an autoimmune disease, or cancer.
There are many possible causes of a high sedimentation rate. For this reason, a sed rate is done with other tests to confirm a diagnosis. After a diagnosis has been made, a sed rate can be done to help check on the disease or see how well treatment is working.
Thanks for letting we know and they've still got to diagnose from your SED rate.

First off please understand that no one wants you to have lupus! It is a nasty disease as are all of the autoimmune diseases however, as Gem said, test results fluctuate so bad that you can't simply go off of those. Too often doctors will dismiss Lupus because of the test results when there are more than enough of the other criteria met (there is a sticky that list the 11 criteria of Lupus). Test results will fluctuate due to medicines, whether or not you are in a flare or not, stress levels, sun exposure and tons of other things. While I am not telling you to dismiss the test results I am saying take them with a grain of salt while you compare them to the rest of the list
