  1. Hi you! Losing your close vision? Maybe just bifocals or reading glasses will do. I fumble with both. I've worn glasses since I was 8.

The rain is falling here. We've been in a rain cycle for about 10 days. It's forecast to have 7 more, sigh. It affects my spirit and my aches and too my figure, fat because of no swimming. The temperature is rising again so, hells I just may swim in the rain. Ensuring no electricity is in the sky.

Bronchitis is still in my lungs, on new antibiotics, hopefully it'll wipe it out before I get to wiped out and have to go to the doctors again.

How is home and Erik? Flowers blooming? Quilting? I love your quilting, you know. You're so artsy and crafty. Do you paint too?

My husband is home for the week since Monday was a holiday but back to being alone next Monday. Travel should subside in August, September. I still have my animals who keep me company.

Has Olivia been to Denmark? Enjoying the online games.?
    Enjoy your evening.
    Love, hugs.
  2. I feel yucka..bronchitis. Chest congested for a bit over two weeks. Taking antibiotics and using an inhaler. It's trying to come up and out of my lungs but I am not very good at spitting. I spit like a baby..I just drool on my chin...Makes me fatigue having an infection in my lungs and nauseated from my pills or from swallowing the gunk...

So what's new in Denmark....working in the yard...still teaching swimming gymnastics?

    Lupus being kind to you?

    Hugs and love..Oluwa
  3. I was able to swim this weekend. I was so looking forward to another dip today but sheets of rain are falling from the skies. Maybe it'll clear up this evening. I so enjoyed my swim.

S.C., we don't have cellars 'basements' due to the flooding inland coastal waterways. Houses are elevated on the coast or inland on a cement slab or a crawl space.

Our A/C has been running all day, cool like a cellar. Yesterday purchased ceiling fans for the rest of the guest bedrooms and went to the movies. Star Trek, ever see that SCIFI series? Beam me up, Scotty.
We stop at the plant shops. African Lilies. Purple/Yellow. Peonies and Daisies. Maybe later this day I will plop them into the ground.

Yesterday was about the temperature outside and in the pool is 26C.

Still sewing...anymore new projects? I decided to shelf my drapes for another day, another year.

Monday, start of a new week..what is in store for you? I'll just putz about domestic.

    Enjoy your evening. Hugs. Love.
  4. Do you wear a hat while in the yard? Sunscreen...long sleeves? I forget sometimes when I am so eager to be outside..for a moment I forget I have Lupus. Times I feel dizzy, red in the face, but my body is handling it for now. Times I've been outside for only 15 minutes and felt like I was going to black out...ached like I was kicked about.

I try to work on the shade side of the house and work my way around as the sun move to create more shade.

My shoes just arrived from right back..humm, I will have to send one back of the three. Either I am swollen or a bad cut. I shop a lot online, do you...I try not to do the malls because of the ceiling lights...I get crabby and a headache...

Let me see if they have another size...enjoy your evening and I will of my afternoon...tata. Loves..hugs.
  5. Are the beaches in Denmark sandy and clear? In South Carolina though being south they're not tropical with white sand nor turquoise water. Sugar sand and dark water. I miss the beaches of the islands. I haven't swam yet, I keep thinking this weekend or the next.

Trying to put my ideas into projects, starting to decorate the inside of the house. Hanging my new mirrors. I like earthy things, earth colors...I like white and bright for kitchen and bathrooms. But having an open floor plan my kitchen is granite green with cherry wood cabinets. I felt it would look silly being white. So I tried to add and take away color...

I am having framed pictures my Momma drew for my room. Simple lined sketches...

Jasmine, pink roses, calla lilies and Hibiscuses are blooming in my yard. Maybe today I will take more snaps. I'm always looking for the perfect one to frame.

Hope you are feeling lovely and the day has been there too for you. Here, rain is on it's way, again...Loves, hugs
  6. What a cutie with her curly red hair. Absolutely adorable. You must've had a blast. I do, I do love the pictures. Thank you for sharing.

I am also happy Lupus didn't give your grief during your trip it makes days in our life so much enjoyable and not just tolerable...My Lupus and his friends have been very kind to me, as of late...and when they do squawk and cackle it hasn't been that annoying....

Next weekend..I think it will definitely be swimming time. A time I look so forward too.

I had create an album here of my yard...Spring blooms came and went, now summer blooms are in the is your garden? Coming alive after this past winter..?

Have a great week, I plan to too...Hugs and love...
  7. Still in Norway, Karen? Be safe. I can't wait to hear about your trip and to see snaps of she has grown...thinking of you...Love and hugs..
  8. Olivia loves her Farmor, eh? I think you are great too.

I do play the games. I was relentless when the new site came up...notice all my crowns and As of late, I have taken a arm sockets and hands hurt. Pain I can live with...but the pain from the games...and sitting in one place I can' with Lupus is all about moderation, eh and I was over indulging.

Going to Norway by train? I am planning, in my head to take a trip to Seattle. I am thinking August..still summer, cool and everything wil be so green. I miss home...and maybe if I go there, maybe I might realize I am not so homesick and South Carolina won't be so bad after all.

Lupus has been kind to me lately, has yours?

Still swimming? Gosh in about 3 -4 weeks it will be here. I can't wait to break out my fins...

    Love ya..Oluwa
  9. I went to your links, Karen....such beautiful snaps. I enjoyed. Thank you for sharing. And the fabric and quilts, wow. You are enjoying your retirement fully. Erik has beautiful children. I didn't know he had any. Erik's hair has grown since the last snaps...Isn't that him at the computer? Your parents, so cute...full of fun, how happy they look. I have an Aunt who is 88, my Finnish Aunt. Scandinavians do live long. All of them on my Mom's side lived into their 90's. I think I told you I was 1/2 Finn. Post pictures of your trip to Norway. I would love to see how Olivia has grown.

We did have a wonderful Easter...pruning trees...a belly full of glazed ham...

My husband departed again, this morning...yep, still doing the travel for work. Gets lonesome at times..

    Hugs with
