I just realized you are not on my friends list. That's why you couldn't see the album. I sent you a request and after you approve it, you will be able to see that photo album.
Thanks for the tip on the musician. I'll have to look for his DVD. Have you ever seen the '70s film called "Summer Lovers"? It starred Darryl Hannah, and was filmed on Santorini. I know that we own a recording of it, and I'm hoping that it came to Ca. with us. I need to watch it again.
I'm so glad that you have found a lady - good for both of you! I couldn't find the album right away, but I'll keep looking to see how lovely she is.
Thanks for the note, and for the "friend" message.
I'll see the rheumy tomorrow and the eye doc on Thursday, so I'll report back on both.
BTW, I would love to visit Scotland. My grandmother came from there as a little girl. Her name was Minerva Marie MacWilliams - sounds really Scottish, eh? She married a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. I have an interesting background, huh?
Take care of yourself,
Just wanted to leave you a wee note here to say good luck with your appointment as well and I'll be watching for that update! Glad to hear you shed some proper tears as well, as odd as that sounds ~lol~
I remember those "first days of school" very well. I had to do it with five of 'em! I would have an assembly line of paperwork that I had to fill out that first week. The stresses were hard on the kids and hard on me. That is why I didn't teach full time until most of them were out of the house. Then I had to go through the stresses of starting school years from the teacher's side of it. I miss teaching, but I sure don't miss all of the stress and paperwork that went with it.
I hope that your life settles down and that you start to have some relaxing time to yourself during the school day. Do you have a "Food Network" where you live? That is my guilty pleasure during the day. I watch the chefs on TV, and then I try out the recipes on my poor unsuspecting hubby when he gets home.
I hope that you are feeling great,
Just thought i'd stop by to say hello.
Things have been a little hectic at the moment, so I really haven't had much of a chance to log on. Summer holidays have finished now, and my son is back at school. Getting back into the routine of it all takes a lot out me.
Hope we can catch up soon.
I managed to put some photos in my new toy room album. There are pictures of three different Enterprise models I've built. I'll be adding more pics as time goes on. Enjoy!
I'll have to show Jeff your album - he'll love it. He has a phaser remote that makes all the noises. The cats are so used to him "phasering" them, they just sit there and glare at him.
Dr. Who has been on the BBC since the '60s. When an actor leaves, the Doctor "regenerates". The 10th Doctor just regenerated. You might be interested in the three most recent Doctors, since the show came back after a long hiatus. The last few seasons are available on DVDs. Jeff and I, or your friend who builds Daleks, can fill you in on the obscure details. The show is, and always has been, a real hoot.
I told Carlotta about my new "Toy Room" photo album that's in the works. I'm taking photos of the sci-fi side of my toy room, so everyone can see just what a hopelessly obsessed nerd I really am. I'm going to include my 1/1 scale prop collection. I have Phasers, Tricorders, an Aliens "Pulse Rifle", and some BSG prop guns. I've been building a model of the new USS Enterprise from the new movie, and it will have full lighting effects. And I'm working on a new Millenium Falcon with lights as well. I'll let you know when the album is ready.
That's really cool about Oprah. Whoopi would be great in an Avatar role. Guinan was one of my favorite TNG characters. I don't subscribe to cable or satellite. I watch all my TV via streaming internet now. Is Flash Forward on The Syfy channel? I've never gotten into Dr. Who, but it sounds interesting. I belong to a local modeling club, and one of the guys builds models of robots called "Daleks". If a person wanted to get into Dr. Who, where would they start? Is it one continuous series, or is it an old show that has now been re-made?
The new BSG will be right up your alley. It's being written by the original creator, and they have said specifically that it will be a swashbuckling adventure rather than doom and gloom. There's word that Richard Hatch will be in it, but not as Apollo. Maybe he'll play Lorne Green's Adama. Yes, we are hopeless sci-fi geeks. I for one, proudly proclaim myself a "nerd"!
