- Let's see... I'm a computer scientist living in MA, 28 yrs old and married. When I'm feeling ok, I'm an avid diver and mountain biker. When I'm not feeling ok (which is more often than not, lately), I read a lot and sometimes write.
I have not yet been officially diagnosed with lupus, though my GP suspects it or some other related AID.
I have felt like something was wrong for almost ten years... always felt very "blah", always very tired. I do have a lot of good days, though mixed in were weeks/months of mystery ailments that I started to feel like I was crazy for even bringing up to my doctor, because surely nobody is sick that much (rolling eyes). It just couldn't be normal to feel like I was made of cement, all the time. I'm hoping to do some research and get some answers on what this may be so that I can start tackling it head on. I am glad to finally have a doctor willing to sit down with me and try and connect the dots.
I do hear frequently about cognitive issues related to lupus and other AIDs, and I wonder if what has previously been written of as part of my Asperger's disorder actually due to something else (especially the rather extreme memory loss and random speech issues).
