happily maried black female 32. have had sle since 16 and been on prednisone ever since. i am also on other meds. 2010 my rheum dr tried to lower my prednisone and allowed about 100 open body ulcers to form. it too months to heal and sometimes they try to come back. but thank God i know what to do to catch them before they get big or spread. my faith in God my husband and my mother have helped me get thru the rough and tough times. i would say that im moderately under control. but i have moon face, butterfly rash, rashes all over different parts of my body, scars, trouble healing and sometimes i feel like im 90 years old.i have additional secondary conditions too fibromyalgia, raynauds phenonomon, periphial neuropathy, and sjogrens syndrome. but i press on. i try hard not to focus on myself. there is always someone worse off than you
