Hi I really enjoyed meeting you and your Mum too looking forward to meeting Deb. Take it easy listen to your body and enjoy every day to the fullest! I do! After getting the diag it is normal to go through shock, denial, grief, control, and a new direction Nd satisfaction. I believe I am in the satisfaction stage. Good luck the journey is very normal don't get stuck in any one stage pass through them and allow each stage to happen. I have a sister who is stuck in the denial stage with her divorce and after 12years she still stalks her x husband. I just think how much she is missing out on so much fun she could be having. Hope you have as much fun as I do each and every day!

Pink and Purple! My favorite colors! I just wanted to stop in and make sure you are doing well. We are so glad that you have joined us. I know this is a crazy disease but it is better when you have people on the journey with you. Please let me know if there is anything that you need
  3. Glad to hear you like it here. There's really no such thing as a wrong question, ask away!

As for me, I have my bad days, and my good. I have both Systemic Lupus, as well as Multiple Sclerosis. Two for one, what a deal! (NOT!). As a result, I deal with a lot of central nervous system problems as well as your usual Lupus symptoms. It's been a little rough lately. I try to make my good days the best they can be, and then I hold onto the thoughts of that last good day, and it gets me through the bad ones. Knowing that there are more good days yet to come really helps.

Anyway, I hope you are having a good day!

    Rob
  4. Hi Rob,

Sure am, It actually contains loads of answers and if you can't find your answer no one makes you feel like you have asked wrong questions.

Plotting along, a bit sore today as I didn't sleep to well.
    How are you?
    Thanks!
  5. Hi Yolanda,

It looks like you've jumped right in and made yourself at home here. It's good to see!

Hope all is well with you,

    Rob
  6. Not really I think it just depended on taking them would be a quicker fix kind of thing. Yeh I'll try spreading them though, thanks!

I think you have said it yourself, if you don't take the meds as they are prescribed you will find out after they were working and regret not taking them. You will be back at square one and be on the higher dosage for longer. Try and spread the meds a bit, rather than taking a handful in one go, that would also help a bit with any potential nausea.

Didn't he say that if you don't it would be worse?
  8. Yeh. It was just at the appt he said not increasing it was also an option so it seems like he didn't mean the increase that strongly. It just diesnt seem like it's doing anything amaazziiinnnnggg except giving me fat cheeks. I guess even if it feels like it's nit doing anything I would find out if I didn't take them that it was actually helping. I just hate taking so much meds. Everyday I've been able to take it all in one go but the other day almost threw up from trying to swallow so much. Just so over it!

Yol, you know how you mentioned that you were going to drop the dose of Prednisone? Have you read some of the other newcomers posts? Seem a lot of people want and do take themselves of meds due to the side effects, but they end up being back on them the way the dr prescribed because the benefits are greater!

Like I said the other day, I would go with what the specialist suggest for now - there is a reason why the dose drops weekly rather than sooner. xoxox
  10. Thanks Rob,

Look forward to hearing it! Thanks again!

    Yol
