Sorry about all of the problems with the new med. the system in the US is messed up but you don't know it until you get really sick. How are you handling the chemo treatments? Thinking of you

    Hi Slim!
I see that you have been getting Benlysta treatments and I was curious as to how you feel about it? I'm thinking of switching to Benlysta instead and will be talking to my doctor about it when I see her in April.
I would love to hear more about it from a first -hand experience point of view.
    Talk soon !

    Hey Slim,

There is no need to say sorry for the "lock down". I think we all go through that. Sometimes when we get really bad we just can't face "faking it" for any length of time, even in an email. I am so sorry things have been so rough on you. Never forget that I (we) are here for you when you need us. ALWAYS

As far as the rash, I find that very interesting! My daughter goes through periods where her skin is really sensitive and the buttons on her jeans will leave a rash where it touches! It sounds like you had the same kind of thing on a larger scale. Try putting some antibiotic cream on there. You have a 50/50 chance of that working LOL.

Slim... never forget that you are loved and missed here. When you feel alone just come here and speak in the forums or just email or visitor post to me. I care about you and I will be glad to be a shoulder for you through this process

Hello Slim. I am so sorry to hear that things are so rough for you. It is easy to fall into a depression but please don't forget that often times it is a physical trait brought on by this terrible disease and not just something that you can push through. Promise me that you will speak to your doctor about this very soon. Although it doesn't fix the illness, getting the mental side of this disease under control can be a huge help in feeling better and making decisions that you need to make. I am so sorry to hear about how the new drug is making you feel. I am glad the the doctors are keeping an eye on the heart issues. Hopefully you get more answers very soon

Hi everyone,

I had my first treatment of Benlysta on 06/03/11 and it went well, up until I got home and had some dizzy spells. Wont let a few dizzy spells stop me from continueing with the treatment. So here is how my weekend went, had severe abdominal pain, lots of joint and muscle pain to the point i was ready to put myself out of my misery but I self medicated and was able to get the pain somewhat under control. I cant say for sure if it was the Benlysta or my Lupus rearing its
