    hi

i am interested in how you are going, balancing lupus and studies.
it is never an easy decision.
but you have to look after yourself.

    Hi,
We're basically the same age and both college students with lupus. Thanks for posting on my intro thing. I wanted to know if you had any more tips for balancing everything. Do you still find yourself getting tired and sick? What do you cut out first or decrease when that happens? Do all of your friends know about your lupus and does it help if so? Teachers?
Are you able to go to parties often/stay up late with friends?

I'm the same way. I still have not told a lot of people, but I find that I share more with strangers that I do with people I've known for years. I know its bad. In due time. I still have to have the discussion with my 14 year old brother. He lives in NY, so I will have the convo with him around Christmas. I just don't want to worry him. And I definitely decided not to tell my grandma. Again, I don't want to worry her. I just hope that the chemo doesn't affect me too bad to where I have to tell her because of visible changes.

Yea. I still haven't told many people, but the ones I have seem to be interested in looking it up. I'm just glad to be spreading the word. I'm learning too so its cool.

Absolutely! I try to DVR them but I do miss some. Like you said they will end up on USA. Its funny, I never appreciated the Lupus joke until I was diagnosed. The first thing I said when my Dr. mentioned lupus was "It cant be Lupus, its never lupus" lol
