I have just been diagonosed with lupus and I am trying to learn as much as I can about this disease, my doctor has started me on predisone, and tonight I started taking Plaquenil. I hope this medication helps, any information anyone feels like sharing I will greatly appreciate thank you.

Hello everyone! I am new to this site and think it is very cool. Although my family and friends try to be supportive they usually have no idea what I am going through so it's hard for them to understand. I am 22 years old and have had lupus since I was 16. Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs that can lead to heart failure. I am suppose to have a Doppler Echocardiogram every six months. To make sure it's no worse. But don't have them that often because of cost.

Last vist in june had to be wheeled out of my Rheumatologist office to the Er after getting IV because the pain was so great I couldn't move.
