Hello everyone. I was just diagnosed with SLE. I have been sick for years though and never knew why. Im concerned because I have blood and protein in my urine, and they found two 5cm lesions on my left kidney via CT. They want to do an ultrasound Friday but I am nervous and was hoping someone on here had been through the same thing and could shed some light on what could be going on. Thanks to all that write.
how its already MAY! this is crazy! it seems like our ''april showers'' were on delay this year. its been rainy for the past week! i hate it! hopefully it goes away soon! haha.
i had work today, which was ok. just tired cuz i had to get up at like 8 on my saturday! haha. but ew. we have to wear hats as part of our uniform now, blahh!

I just had an appointment with my rheumatologist and I feel SO much better about everything now. I got some things answered, and I feel pretty good about my condition again.
The reason she increased my CellCept to 2,500 was because the blood levels in my urine have remained unchanged even though my protein levels have gone down drastically. She thinks I need the extra dosage to get the blood levels down. I'm okay with that. I was just afraid it was worse!
so its nice outside again!! yay!
shame i gotta sit in this school, hahaha. and we have testing. blahh!
im kinda upset cuz my school is doing a blood drive- and they said that i could donate, since my blood levels are up again, and that central blood bank accepts blood from people with lupus. but because i take methotrexate, i can't. you have to wait 4 weeks after your last dosage to donate, and i take it once a week. soo i can't.
shame too because it
My trip to Yosemite was boat loads of fun!! I got over my sickness just in time for it, and though I still had a minor cough, it didn't effect me too much while on the trip. And Lupus didn't really effect me too much either which I am very grateful for! I was able to do all the hiking. We even went on a 7 mile round trip hike which was strenuous uphill the entire way for 3.5 miles until we reached the top of Nevada Falls and then turned around to come back down. We saw 2 waterfalls on that
