My trip to Yosemite was boat loads of fun!! I got over my sickness just in time for it, and though I still had a minor cough, it didn't effect me too much while on the trip. And Lupus didn't really effect me too much either which I am very grateful for! I was able to do all the hiking. We even went on a 7 mile round trip hike which was strenuous uphill the entire way for 3.5 miles until we reached the top of Nevada Falls and then turned around to come back down. Heyy Everyone! havent written in here in a few days so i figured since i have the time that i would!
i've been feeling really good since my prednisone has been lowered to 20 mg.
so thats a sigh of relief! i dont ever want to go back up on it!
i am so happy because the weather is finally getting nice! ...its about time! ITS ALMOST MAY!!
2morrow is going to be 75 degrees! and saturday is supposed to be 85!!! :]
shame i have to work, but at least i'll be outside!
I will start with the Lupus
I was first diagnosed with discoid lupus about 16 years ago.
After a few years I started having other symptoms, arthritis, achy and tired all the time, pleurisy. first I was told I had rheumatoid arthritis. But after many office visits (years) I was diagnosed with SLE, that was 10 years ago. I was put and prednisone and plaquinal. I'm still on plaquinal, was on prednisone for about 4 years. Happy Saturday! the weather outside is so nice! i believe it got up to 78 degrees!!!! i helped my mom out in our backyard prepping for summer. i planted grass seed :] haha
im glad to say that being out in the sun for about 2 hours, i didn't have any kind of weird reaction to it. i actually felt really good on my skin! :] thats definetly a good sign!
i am excited to be goin out to one of my favorite resteraunts today for dinner. they have mexican! :] yummyy!
Hey everyone, i thought i would write my very first blog and tell you all about myself.
Well firstly the reason i am here is SLE with involvement of the skin and blood. I was diagnosed around 3 months ago on the 24th Feb.
I was first admited to hospital on my 17th birthday and then re-admitted on my mums birthday. All in all February was a huge nightmare. I miss the first 5 weeks of year 11 and just wanted life to get back to normal.
