I wanted to share with all of you something that I learned by losing my insurance. Some prescriptions are actually cheaper without insurance! Of course not all of them but some of them. For a year I paid 10 bucks for my prednisone. When my insurance ran out I paid 4 bucks. Turns out that they charge you what your insurance company says it will pay. I suggest you always get a quote of your meds without insurance and then tell them which ones to run on insurance and which ones not to. That way you can keep the most of your money!

My old pharmacy used to tell me which ones would cost less. I miss them, but now I only pay a percentage of what they cost. Sometimes, most actually, it works out to be cheaper than the set prices for generic/brand.

I thought mine was too, red. Then when I didn't have insurance and I found out my script could have been 4 bucks I was rather ticked!

Thanks I usually get mine for 4 to 5 bucks, but will have to start asking on the ones that are more expensive.
