I've been sick three times in three weeks since I started working. Sinus infection, stomach flu, now another cold...
Vitamin C? I wash my hands constantly!

I wish I could help also, I've lived with what seems like a semi cold forever. Congestion sucks. I'm sorry I seem to be in a foul mood. To keep from getting bronchitis and pneumonia I've found that getting the flu shot, makes the infections I get very light. the kind that I can still go to work with.

Sarah, my son would not like the bears to lose.
Isla, please feel better soon

Hey Isa,

Have you tried to use a neti pot? My Dr. recommended it when I was getting sinus infections, and since I started using it religiously 3-4 times a week for the past 2 months, I have been free of a sinus infection, pressure and congestion. it's a little tricky to get used to, but it is totally worth it. You can pick one up at the local health food store, or get one online for about 10 bucks. If you are not familiar with it, google or youtube it on how to use it. I swear by it. XO

Hey I have tried the neti pot before, but only during a sinus infection. I should start doing that a few times a week like you said and see if that decreases the amount of them I have. I swear I'm a walking sinus infection! and... wow... yall took a major booty woopin today! Sorry for that! GO PATS! hehe.

for me - the best answer is the oldest one. stick to a good routine. go to bed at a decent hour and make it a habit. at least 8 hrs a night. drink lots of fluids to stay hydrated and flush the germies from your system. eat a healthy balanced meal with lots of fresh fruits and veggies of assorted colors. take your meds on time and as perscribed. do something to keep the stress away like meditation or yoga or whatever works for you. laugh a little each day and smile a lot. most importantly - listen to your body and know your limits! I also use a neti pot the minute I feel a little ick coming on and it is very helpful, but if you live in a very dry environment like I do with my apartment that has forced air heating, you need to be careful not to dry out those nasal passages as you can actually get more sick and also give yourself nosebleeds. I counter act that by using a saline nasal spray every night and that works just as well.
