View Full Version : Dad Has Another Broken Bone in His Back

Just found out that Dad has another broken bone in his back. Now I have both parents with broken bones. Mom has the broken rib bone and Dad has the broken back bone. I take him to the orthopedic doctor tomorrow to see if he is going to have surgery on the new break or not. Also, I will be having my follow-up with the Urology Clinic. I am wondering if they will give me an ultrasound to see if there are any remnants of the kidney stone remaining, or to see if they got it all. Anyway, I will find out tomorrow. Mom may need to see a pain specialist for her broken rib. I am going to try and get a referral tomorrow from the orthopedic doctor.

I am so sorry to hear about your father's back and your mother's pain. I, too, hope that you have no further problems with kidney stones. You are dealing with so much right now. I hope that things work out well for your father and that it can be dealt with without major surgery. Sending you {{{hugs}}}

Peace and Blessings

My mom fell in March and broke her hip and had a hip replacement and did great even at the age of 81. Good luck with your tests. And i hope your parents are feeling better. Bonita

In reply, I have had no more trouble with kidney stones, but have bladder incontinence as a result of having the stent in for over 6 weeks. I am thinking about procuring a lawyer for a possible lawsuit concerning the whole kidney stone episode, but have so much on my plate right now that I have not pursued it yet.
