Do you guys have one? Or do you just make do with hoping that you'll be coherent if anything happens to you? I went to medid.com and did the wallet card they had on there to put in my wallet but was wondering about the id bracelet??

must admit I hadn't really thought about it! I'll be curious to hear what others do as well.

The medical team for my daughter suggested that we get a Medical Alert Bracelet as opposed to a penant on a chain. God forbid something should happen such as a car accident or something that you can not speak for yourself. If you are on any medication from what I was told, especially prednisone,Cytoxan, Imuran, the paramedics and ER staff need to know. It is for assurance that you don't have a drug reactions with meds that could be given to you when you can not speak.
My daughter picked up a beautiful, heavy bracelet at the mall for $40. and we had Lupus, Prednisone and Imuran ingraved on the backside of it. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Hope it helps.
