hi everyone; i"m a 24 year old final year student.
I've had renal Lupus for 10 years now. However I'm also a practising muslim.
What i need to know is if it will effect my health in any way if i were to start fasting.
Please i really need to know this.
In the past doctors have told me not to fast due to the possible damage it can cause my kidneys.

Is there anyone there who could advise me PLEASE!!! :?: :?: :?

I would say, if your doctors tell you not to do it, then it's a bad idea, since they know what's really going on with you personally... I know it gets to be a sticky situation with religion and all... But, I think your health is more important... That's just my 2 cents...

I would encourage you to believe your doctors. Talk with your Imam, perhaps he can suggest a way you can pray and participate during Ramadhaan without fasting. I know that nursing mothers and those who are ill are exempted from the fasting, so you are not being unfaithful by eating to maintain your health.

Your desire to do the right thing is wonderful, and I'm sure Allah will hear your prayers during this season.
