View Full Version : That Overwhelming Feeling

I am getting that overwhelming feeling again and feel the need to get away for a little while. Unfortunately, it can't be next week as I have Drs., and Dentists and job interviews set up. I sincerely need a break from everything. The chiropractor, who has been treating my neck and back says I keep stress pent up in my body, but I don't really know how to release it. I have lived this way for so long. I can't exercise it away because my body hurts so horribly. I feel trapped with stress. Any suggestions on what to do?

Lets see..
I think that you're down the road in the area of Ventura. Wanna come up to the Monterey Bay and visit me? I'm often bored while hubby is studying.

I have the same problem with my back and especialliy my neck. My daughter gave me a Denise Austin low impact tape. I could not do it at first. So I did a little like waving my arms to take a deep breath and then slowly reaching up. Slowly, very slowly, each day I was able to do a little more. I don' t know if you can do it, but I pushed myself slowly through the pain.

Also if I lived anywhere near Marla, I'd go hang out with her. She's one of the best.

Thanks, Nonna
You're sweet. I'm just bored and lonely while Jeff is busy studying.

Ok, this is going to sound weird... but have you ever thought about going to the shooting range? I have a friend who swears it is the BEST stress reliever!

Thanks for the invite MagistrateMarla, but can't make it up there right now. I did get away for a day. I went to the Chumash Casino and played cards. Then I went to Solvang and had a really nice smorgaasbord at the Bit O' Denmark Restaurant and did a little thrift store shopping. Found some oriental coasters for drinks and an inexpensive brooch to wear. I felt so much better. I even won a little money. Right after I got back though I got sick again. The trip may have been a bit much for me.

I'm glad that you got out and about, but try to take it easy and recover, OK?
Is the weather as gorgeous down your way as it is here? The bay is incredibly lovely today.

It was really nice here yesterday, but today it is fogged over and lots of debris in the air. I was trying to figure out if I saw smog or not, but could not tell. It is a little chilly today too. It is around noontime. Perhaps it will get a little warmer as the day goes on, but usually by this time it is about as warm as it is going to get.
