Just wondering if anyone has problems with periodontal disease? I went to the dentist on Thursday for a tooth abscess and he told me I have moderate to severe periodontal disease. He said there is a lot of bone loss and that I would have to see a specialist to help me prevent and further damage. The weird thing is that I have never had a cavity in my permanent teeth, and haven't had any problems with bleeding gums or anything. I don't really understand how this happened without any noticeable symptoms.

Thanks, I guess. Today I woke up again with epscleritis, which of course has nothing to do with my teeth, but I guess has something to do with this dratted disease! My body seems to be doing very strange things in such a short time, and it worries me a bit...a lot. I'm trying to stay positive, but am getting very concerned with all that's been going on. Maybe I've just ignored it for too long and am now paying more attention. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Anyway, thanks again for the information,

Colleen

Yeah, my bodies gone through SO MUCH too. Just make sure you ADDRESS ANY and EVERY symptom YOU HAVE that is either NEW to you and/or CONCERNS you. Thats about all you can do along with taking care of yourself with exercise, stretching, eating pure and organic whenever you can, brushing, flossing, mouthwashing, paying attention to WHAT you were doing before a flare came on,what you were around that has a smell to it (candles,cleaners....) before a flare came on, and staying as stress free as possible LOL. Some things with this disease ARE in our control believe it or not! LOL Well, at least we can make things a BIT BETTER for ourselves anyways! :cute:

That's what I love about this forum. You never feel alone again, no matter how funky your body gets someone can help you get through it. I had already been through menopause when they figured that I had lupus, but low and behold I started spotting again. I had it checked out the first time but knowing that it happens to others helps keep me, at least, from panicking.
