Namaste (to me) means: "The God in me sees the God in you and I honor the God in you!"

The word is from external sandhi between namaḥ and te) and it is a common spoken greeting or salutation in the Indian subcontinent. Taken literally, it means "I bow to the good in you".

Sick N Tired; You are most welcome and as for sweet.....I only return what I've received.

NoodleMom; Well, I am of Indian heritage, but it is American-Indian heritage that I claim - Cherokee (lol). No, I just love the term "Namaste" because it reflects, so succinctly, how I live and how I feel.
