View Full Version : Seeing Speciallist, what records to bring with me?

I am seeing a doc end of month and wondering how far back and what records I should bring with me when I go. Certainly labs and recent stuff, pulmonary history and so on.. Just not sure what else as my records are all over the place.

I have made a medical history of sorts covering symptoms, events (the PE, etc) and timeline for past decade. It also has current meds, family history, etc.

Previous diagnosis, if any. Don't forget to take a list of all of your current medications (oh you've already got that). I think that what you've got is sufficient for now. Your new doctor will, invariably, want to run some tests of his own.
Make sure that he takes the time to look at your records and listen to your history.

Best of Luck
Peace and Blessings

Hey Ku,

Good luck with that.

I took all the PCP notes, Rheumy notes, and blood work I had since I started complaining about it and then I did an outline that girlindallas had suggested to write up. Go to the Post I wrote Frustrated with Doctors read through the thread and you will see girlindallas' awesome idea. It made it a little easier to not have to talk so much although doc still made me talk :P
