 This morning after my shower I was drying off.

I stuck my finger with towel in to my belly button to dry it out...and OUCH.

My knuckle joint puffed up like a blow fish.

Then it hit me. Lots of us have arthritis of one form or another and I have need of something to dry my belly button with.

It could also be used for drying between the toes. Towel on a stick.

Awww gentle hugs to ya lucky7

The last couple of weeks the pain has been increasing and now spreading. I'm nervous of my nest appointment with my rheumy...I have a concern because she keeps changing her mind on what is wrong with.

Now with my hands on the fritz...well I'm just worried.

I type for a living....

Oh no,Im sorry to hear that.

It can wreak havok on our jobs thats for sure.

The drs seem to change their minds a little too much for my taste. I dont know, it just seems like here we all are piecing things together and none of us hav a med degree,ya know?

We all GET IT cuz we LIVE IT every day. It seems like if its not smack dab in their face and easy and quick to diagnose then we go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.

I have a flare right now so if i sound odd or all over the place, sorry. I just feel better reading your replys and comments :)

I had to quit my job as apersonal fitness trainer cuz there were days i just couldnt get to aclient on time cuz i was stuck in the bathroom or i couldnt pick up a weight to show them how to perfrom a rep. I was so tired and out of breath at times that i know they were thinking what the heck, this woman isnt even able to stand up straight! With this job you have to be the motivator 100% of the time and it got harder and harder for me.

My husband thinks we should file for SSI. Any thoughts on that?

Talk to your doctor about it, you'll need paper work from them anyway and see what they feel is your best approach.

I've really have know clue how to go about making a claim. I suppose some day I will have to find out.

What bothers me the most is they make an assumption about what's wrong with me, but other than blood work I don't see any real testing going on.

My family doctor sent me to the rheumy because she wanted a scan done on my knees feet and ribcage, family doctor's here can not order MRI's it has to be ordered by a specialist....I still have never had an MRI.

And lucky7 ... everyone on this board is fluent in flare_fog_Anese.

We all type like c*rap and are all over the place when we are flaring or just plain worn out. So no worries I can understand you

WOW, sorry to hear that, Ive had an MRI on my back-broken L5,and amissing disc, rubbing bone on bone- never knew thats where all my back pain came from!

The thing that stinks is my pain can be so stressful it kicks in a flare.

Had an MRI of my brain but no results yet.

Yeah, lots of blood tests, not lots of answers.

I heard that this illness should be followed up with biopsies of organ tissues. I worry about my organs cuz of how bad my symptoms can be at times. My heart just is so rapid when im at rest it freaks me out!

I would be freaked out too.

Every time my family doctor takes my bp is up...I told her it's YOU...you stress me out. Then I proved it.

We have a bp machine at home, I brought it in and had her take my bp with her machine and mine with the same results, then I showed her the results from my bp taken at home just before leaving for my appointment. It was perfect, but that's not what happens when I get in her office  and she's the one I like!

But a rapid heart beat is concerning...I hope they find some answers for you soon :)
