I have been experiencing joint and body painthat has been so bad and hard on me that going up stairs is a long tedious thing and this morning, it brought me to tears. Has anyone else felt this before? I dont have my appointment with my specialist till March, and am looking for any help or at home remedies. Today i did a long hot bath and popped asprin all day.

I am so sorry you are suffering. Gentle hugs to you......
The joint pains can be absolutely unbearable sometimes....especially when it's your knees, hips, or feet and you have to walk and climb.
Have you tried any Advil or Motrin...anti-inflammatories? My joint pains never did respond in any way to Aspirin or Tylenol, but sometimes I had success with Advil. When I had the worst pain, the only thing that would give some relief were prescription pain medications, like Vicodan.
Are you able to call your regular doctor and let him/her know how severe the pain is and ask for some help? Let them know that what you are doing is not working, and you are having so much pain that you are in tears and unable to climb stairs. Is your pain all the time or at certain times, like in the evenings? March is a long time to wait in pain before you see the specialist.
Are you on any medications for your Lupus, or is that something that is waiting until you see the specialist?
I understand how badly you feel.... How much the joint pains can hurt, and I hope and pray you get some relief soon.

Oh i am so sad to read you are in such pain. Maybe you could ring your Doctor and explain just how bad the pain is.I am sure he will want to help you now instead of waiting such along time till your appointment. I am sorry i have no answer for you as i am on prescribed meds from the Doctor and i am not sure of home remedies. By the sounds of your pain i dont know whether they'd help you. Just a thought anyway...dont suffer ask for advice off you doctor...im sure he would'nt want you to suffer as you are. Hope this helps.

Alternate hot and cold compresses on your knee joints.
Feel around your knee joint, see if you can feel an area that's warmer that the rest. That's called a hotspot.
Put a cold compress on it for no longer than ten minutes at a time. You don't want to freezed the joint, just dull the pain.
Do you have someone who can go to the drug store for you? For about $15 you can buy a tensor knee brace.
It really does help to lessen the pain when your walking, climbing the stairs or "heaven forbid" doing house work.
Those two things should help get you through to your doctor's appointment.

Try the knee braces....they work.
I use the wrap around kind with velcro straps. The relief from pain is imediate.

I am sorry for your pain :( and certainly understand. I get the bad pain mostly in my feet. Sometimes I can barely walk at night. Hot baths help me, but again it's hard to get in and out of the tub sometimes. I have found that I have a heating pad in the bedroom that I sleep on, also one in my chair that I sit on during the day. I even found a full body pad that has heat and pulsator to help with the tension and that helps with the pain. I am on an anti-inflammatory medication which has helped. I do have narcs but hate them so only use them when really needed. Asprin doesn't help me much but my doctor recommended motrin. Which I use and it helps. I was told to take double the dose that the bottle says and that has helped. I can't do stairs anymore and am fortunate to not have but two to get into my house. I refuse to live in a house now with stairs. Sometimes rest is the best thing for the pain but not always easy for anyone who is busy and can't. I hope things get better. There are herbal teas and remidies that help but you would have to ask your doctor if you can take them with any of your other medicaitons.
I send a big hug your way and hope that the pain gets better for you.
