................to a beautiful era 8)

I have been at my current job for 7 years in feb, and im pleased/unhappy to say it has now come to an end!
I spent most of the morning contimplating weather to do it or not, i went for a walk on the grounds saw my boss and told her the situation i was in about my work not being able to do enough work for the health, but not earning what i should be to cover my living, she completely understood and told me there was a place for me whenever i would want to come back she even said we wouldnt worry too much about the interveiwing process, she told me i was a valued member of staff and i would be very much missed :)

A song came on this morning on the radio when i was helping one of the students get ready for school (i cant remember the name of it now) but well known oldie, and i was given lots of little signs of what to do during the day, i cooked a specail pasta dish for all the students and staff at lunch time, they all ate it including the ones that dont eat very much!!
and as i left this afternoon there was a singing class for them in the school hall, i stopped at the door to listen too them singing all things bright and beautiful :D my select colleges kissed me and said goodbye, i spent alot of time with certain students who ive grown to love, and walked out of the door, it was very emotional day for me!

When this lupus goes into remission i will be going back, weather thats in the next 6 weeks/6 months/6 years, i think i left on a very good note and high!
Bless you all who helped me make my dicision, you may not of realised it but you helped me!
Thankyou all

much love

For what it's worth, I think you made a wise decision. When I sold my business and had to say goodbye to my employees who were also some of my best friends, it was really hard to do. I know a little bit how you are feeling right now. It sounds like you left on the best of terms, and kept those bridges open for the day, whenever that may be, that you can go back.

Always remember that an end of an era can open up many new possibilities for a new era. This path may present you with some amazing opportunities that you don't yet know about. That's the way it was, and is for me. I've discovered some amazing people and things that I never would have discovered if I had stayed on my original path.

You made a tough decision, and you did it with much thought and integrity. Reach back, and pat yourself on the back. I'll buy you a drink at the virtual pub tonight. Sambuca?

And well done to you! I know it must have been very sad.and a massive decision ....but wow! How nice that you can go back when you feel up to it, so nice of them. But like i mentioned in the other board....''things happen for a reason that we can not yet see''. Who knows.....as time goes by, when you get stronger and have the rest your body is craving........a new ''path'' could present itself. Like you said .....the angels were at work...with songs on the radio....little nudges to put you on the right path for this time in your life.....ahhhh so nice.
You get resting and try not to worry.....says me....worryholic...but you know what i mean :)

congrats to you iseedeadmonkeys,

I know this has weighed heavily on your mind, and now it is off of your shoulders. Be sure and take advantage of every benefit that your "past" employer or the benefit office offers.....don't hesitate to accept a helping hand.

take care,

Ah love, I have to say that I am so proud of you :!: You made one of the hardest decisions most of us will eventually face. You took this issue and thought it through and made sure that it was the right one for you. You have decided to put you first and to make sure that you get as healthy as possible as soon as possible. I admire you and I know that everyone will miss you there. You have touched our lives so much through words that I can not even imagine what you have done for them over the years :D Work will be there when you are ready....no rushing.......no worries........a healthier you
