Hi Everybody,

Was up half the night with acid reflux, I woke up feeling pretty good, but a bit groggy. Got dressed, and got in the car to run some errands. Felt good, at first, and then as I was driving down the freeway my tummy started to hurt. Didn't know if I should finish what I was doing or turn around and drive back home. Finished the errands and came back home as fast as I could. Tummy is hurting more than ever now. I am going to lie down for a bit and see if it gets better or worse. It is so maddening because I can never predict from one momoent to the next how I am going to feel. Thanks for listening!

I've been having stomach problems lately too. Terrible acid reflux. I've always had this it seems, but lately it's become bad enough to see a specialist about. Many tests, but still no answers yet. Like you mentioned, it is so unpredictable. I had the beginnings of a bout on Christmas day while at my parents house waiting for the rest of the family to arrive. For whatever reason, it let up, and went away. I was extremely thankful for that. But with this, and all the other symptoms, I can't plan anything in advance, and I tell everyone to never depend on me to show up for anything. Honesty hurts I guess, as almost nobody ever invites me anywhere anymore. It's sad, but it's better that way. Ain't Lupus grand? Like old Walter used to say-And That's the Way it is...

Head hugs to the both of ya....

With the Christmas season...all the treaties that I usually deny myself....well I didn't. I ATE them :D

And I haven't been well behaved about what times I'm taking my medications....had a big case of I DON'T WANNA.

I'm paying for it now.

Yes I'm going to go back to being a good little girlie....sigh.

Life really does change when you are diagnosed with Lupus. It seems to sneak up and scare you every once in a while when you least expect it  Planning things and caryying them out is hard and it is very hard on the other people involved :? My thoughts are with you tonight and I hope you are finding some peace

The acid reflux comes and goes. I am having a bout of it right now. The medication I have for it isn't that great. I am going to try and get my Dr. to give me another one which I heard was better. Unfortunately, I can't think of the name of it at the moment. I hope I remember the name of it before I see him Friday. If I do, I am going to write it down so I don't forget it.

Good idea on writing it down so you don't forget it  I forget everything and seem to be fighting that more now than ever

i too suffer from acid reflux and lately a bottle of tums is the only thing that works. i eat things i shouldn't but it has gotten worse as i get further into the diagnosis process. i know alot of it is stress. drink more water too i've noticed that helps. and seriously if you are having a really bad attack i just found this out and it really works. CELERY.... thats right just common old celery somehow it neutralizes the acid and calms your stomach at the same time. try it.
