Can you have a rash appear, then only an hour later gone? Then a day or two later, its back? On the inside right knee, I got a pink blotchy slightly raised rash. It itches, but mildly. Its there, then its not. Then its there again, been like that for a week. It does appear instantly after a hot shower, but its gone when skin cools. You can feel rough skin when you can't see it. Lotion will not smooth the skin. I take really hot showers lately, feel so cold. Hubby stuck his hand in because bathroom so steamy, yelped from heat. I do look very pink afterwards and feel very itchy, so wasn't sure if really a rash at first. The pink tone and itch goes away after about 10-15 minutes. It does appear without heat. Just never thought a rash would or could come and go so frequently? This is so strange and annoying. On no meds, so that can't be the culprit. Confused whats causing it and cortozone only gives a quick relief. I figured if I knew what could cause such a rash, I could make it go away.

CV...

You have one of my rashes....one of my three types.

I dunno..I am still trying to figure out mine...maddening. I feel so swollen, scabby, bruised and dirty.

The trunk rash left, now whatever this is, it is on my legs, arms and neck...

Could be...
Water is too hot.
Skin not retaining moisture.
Sweat.
Pressure.
Stress.
Soap.
Lotions.
Shampoos.
Nerves charging off.
Eats.
Histamines messing with your mind.
Or just because Lupus ..Fibro..wants to give us a hard time.

I contacted all my doctors here, requested copies of my record to be sent to me. I plan of seeing a Diagnostic Specialist...my latest attempt to find wellness. She specializes in all aspects of women's health. Located three hours from here.

You fax the answered questionnaire back to her, 11 pages then they call you, with cost and appointment time and duration of the appointment. I hope this is my answer...

I see my local dermatologist Friday see what that reveals...

Clip your nails and rub instead..
Hugs,
Oluwa

Thanks Oh, for the input. I do have the shower hot lately, but can't fight the cold feeling. I have no temp, its 95-96. I do have really dry skin on my legs, I'll try to lotion more and see if that helps. Maybe drink more water, hydrate skin from the inside. Its suppose to help skin retain water better. I haven't been drinking my usual amount, somehow skipped my brain :? .

I have took care of a variety of rashes when my oldest son used to have his allergies. I just have never seen one keep appearing and reappearing over and over in the same spot. Just when you think you know something, a new experience comes along. My son never had a rash that reappeared over and over in the same exact spot like this.

Rashes are a new experience for me. I've had very itchy skin lately and but only 2 small rashes in the last 5yrs. They went away the next day and that was it, never came back. Now I have this and some itchy pink areas in my upper chest and cheeks. They chest and cheeks mainly come from showers or hot out. Not there all the time and not raised like this new one. They are just little pink areas, faint. The reason I notice, I've never had redness or pinkness to my skin until a few years ago. Always just light tan and never burned(lucky me). So no one else has noticed the pink to red skin tone change or my cheeks or upper chest area, but I have. My skin has changed the last few years and thought that the cheeks and upper chest was due to age. This is the first raised rash. Thought of telling doc, but know it will be gone when I get there.

Does cool baths or showers help? I'm still using same shampoo and body wash I've used all year, lotion too. So pretty sure thats not causing it. Confusing, so I think I'll ignore it(best that I can).

I just got nails again too, funny if you think about it. Finally got nails and up comes a rash, oh boy. Time to say good bye nails

Hope everything goes well. I like the sound of you taking charge. I would have never considered a diagnostic specialist, good idea. I hope you get some answers soon. Good Luck!!

I used to get bumps like that when I was a kid. Everytime I would get to the doctor they would be gone so my mom tried rushing me to doc as soonn as they appeared but they would seem to just vanish. doc said im allergic to basically everything. excuse to stop seeing me? so i was on a prescription antihistamine all of my life hope you figure yours out take a picture if necessary to show doc what you mean

At least not as often, that's good. Not much rash today, just mild itching.
