I've a question regarding symptoms - specifically eyes.

Does anyone have information about lupus causing a brief 'flashing' in the center of field of vision? Just a small bright flash, occurring randomly, more often when feeling 'stress' from a situation or complex thought.

Appreciated.

Mine do that to. I have to go every 6 months and the eye doctor litterally puts this thing in my eye, looks through it and spins it in a circle. It is uncomfortable but not to painful. he explained what he was looking for to me once but I didnt quite grasp it at the time and have just gone and done what needs doing without questions in that area.

My advice is to have them checked as soon as you can.

Hello qkb,

I have these white dots that flash as well. When I went to my eye doctor he told me that it was due to optical migraines.

Hope this helps.

Hi qkb

What type of medication are you on?

I would seriously recommend that you go to the doctor and let them know that you are experiancing this with your vision.

Lupus and the medications we are on can affect our vision. It is very important to stay ontop of that.
