Can anyone recommend any good books for a (kind of) newly diagnosed patient?

I am a reader at heart and have been getting so confused about symptoms and such that a sort of handbook would be great to refer to. Thanks!

The First Year--Lupus: An Essential Guide for the Newly Diagnosed
by Nancy C. Hanger

This is the only book i ever purchased regarding Lupus. It was very good when i didnt know anything at all. And it was great to go in there and "discover" things and say "yeah thats true!", I'm not sure if it will be very hlepful once you know a lot about Lupus... The way it read is as a guide of the 1st year, what to do, what to know, who you can contact, symtoms, dealing with feelings, etc.
Hope this helps!

I really like the book called "The Lupus Book" by Dr. Daniel Wallace. I also had the pleasure of seeing him speak - he is the Lupus Guru. He is one of the leading doctor's in North America with regard to Lupus and his book is extremely helpful.

I have found I didn't as much read it from beginning to end, I more or less used it as a guide to my symptoms or something my doctor has said. I then just look it up in the book, read about it and feel more informed.

Very informative.
