HI all. I have had health problems since I was 9 and diagnosed with post viral fatigue syndrome. At 17 I was diagnosed with fibromyalsia after 4 years of tests by 5 different specialists. Now at 29 I have 9 of the 11 signs of lupus but am waiting for my husbands new insurance to kick in before seeing a dr. I have had a false positive syph test with every pregnancy, but never thought to keep looking for why I was always sick. I am doing what I can to stay out of the sun as just 5 min will cause my arms to welt up, but it is difficult with 3 kids 2,5, and 7 and living in Las Vegas. I am trying to move back home to the pacific northwest this summer.

Any and all support is welcome.

Katy

Hi Scrap_Katy

Welcome, Sounds like you have a full plate. I'm trying to keep out of the sun but friends and family seem to think that sun is was I need. :P

Course I can be very stuborn so eventually they'll give up and leave me to my sun hats and umbrella's and stuff :D

Welcome, Scrap_Katy. Glad you found us. You have had a life full of health issue already, and new path will bring it's own challenges. There are treatments that can make a world of difference, though. Once you see a doctor, hopefully you'll get some sound advice to get you on the right track. In the meantime, rest when you (that's gotta' be tough with 3 little children!) avoid stress and stay out of the sun. Stop by here whenever you need someone to lean on, or a little understanding. There are good people here - it's sure helped me!

Hello and Welcome Scrap_katy
Keeping out of the sun while living in Las Vegas takes tremendous will power and tenacity doesn't it? The summer's are always in the three-digit zone :?
You've already dealt with so much, I do hope that your husband's insurance is effective soon so that you can get regular medical care and get some relief from your symptoms.
I'm glad that you joined us, everyone here is kind, comforting, caring, supportive and informative! Welcome to our family
Peace and Blessings
