View Full Version : Dumb as a bag of hammers.

I need an alarm clock...not one to wake me up, but one to warn me.

"Sorry, you're too stupid to get out of bed today, just lay your head down and go back to sleep...try again tomorrow."

It started with the shower. I washed and shampoo'd and all the good stuff, dried off put my make up on started to blow dry my hair, when I noticed there was something not quite right with my hair.......

I hadn't rinsed the conditioner out of my hair.

That's right, there goes the make up and medicated creams I had just put on, cause I had to go rinse.

I'll spare you the ugly details, but the day went down hill from there

Our director came into work late one day because she did the exact same thing. She said at least her excuse was a valid one.

That sounds like something I would do. Kinda like that time I brushed my teeth with preparation-h instead of toothpaste. Don't worry, we all have those "bag of hammers" moments!

Gawd, I've forgotten to rinse the shampoo, the heck with even adding conditioner to the mess! So fun to start brushing the hair before blow drying and realizing you've got suds.....

Then there's the days I forget makeup. I have an extra stash in my desk now.

I hate those 'I can't believe I just did that' moments. I did not think my hubby really understood the whole lupus thing until the other day when I was having a bit of a bad day, he just looked at me smiled and said " The fog is really thick today". Hope it clears for you soon!

I was just about to say the same thing as Hatlady.....I've completely forgotten to rinse the shampoo from my hair! So, SITC, you are a step ahead of us
Rob, I've also done the opposite......Put toothpaste on my butt!!!! That was not fun at all :P

So, as you can see, we've all been there....done that!!!

Peace and Blessings

Well Saysusie, look at the bright side. Now your butt has a minty-fresh scent, and is well protected from cavities!

Did ya'll hear about the lady who had a 4 year old that loved chapstick? She warned the tot that is was only to be used sparingly for dry, chapped (red) lips, showed him where she kept it in a bathroom drawer, and thought he was handling the responsibility well. One day, she couldn't locate the boy. She finally found him - in the bathroom, gently rubbing the chapstick on the kitty cat's butt! Problem was, was this the first time he did it?..........

Oh, you guys are hysterical! Suzique, that was one of those 'eeewwwww' moments!

SITC, I do the conditioner thing regularly...I mean REALLY regularly. Sigh.....but, Hey, I do feel better to know I'm not alone! The sad thing is, sometimes I don't remember if I've washed my hair - it's wet, but is it clean? So....I wash it again...maybe. :? :? :?

Suzique, I'll never look at chap stick the same way again.

 I'm trying not to look at my cat's butt and think of chapstick
