Hi guys,
Bit off topic but usefull nonetheless I think.
Came across an interesting title "The six thinking hats" by Edward deBono

Gave me a fresh new way of tackling little problems.

In summary, He uses hats as a metaphor for different thinking "styles"

Eg the white hat would be just the facts about something. "Lets put on our white hats about this"
Red hat the way we feel about things.
Black - cautous attitudes.
Green - new ideas.
Yellow - optimistic thinking
Blue - more of an umbrella for the other hats.

So when i come across a big issue.
I employ white hat thinking. Gather the facts first.
Then the red etc.
Helps alot.
Perfect in a meeting environment or even justa group of people trying to reach an understanding.

Thought I'd share. :)

For those interested, I think we should start a book club.
Let me know :)

You are too funny Morpheus  I love the book club idea.
I also like the "Hat" for each occasion. Now, the black hat is for cautious attitudes??? I'm not sure what you were saying there!

Thanx for the information, as always
Peace and Blessings

Now, the black hat is for cautious attitudes???

When new ideas arises, the black hat is used to seed out the pros and cons of it.
You have an opportunity to be pessimistic about the various ideas.
