Hi,
I am new to this site but not new to Lupus. I was diagnosed when I was 17 and I am 43 now. I guess I have been one of the lucky ones as my lupus was in remission for 18 years then I had a really bad flare for two years. I was put on everything from prednisone to cytoxin and other stuff then I went into remission again. I have been having some problems this year but now my Dr. and I think it is food allergy related or celiac disease. I took the test yesterday and will know in a few days. Right now I am on NO meds and feel great.

I hope to get to know some of you better through this site but I will be praying for all of you.

Still Blessed

Hi StillBlessed;
Welcome to our family. You will find the most caring, supportive and informative people here. Like you, I have been in a form of remission for many years. Actually, my doctors tell me that I have been downgraded to "Mild Lupus" for many years. However, I do have active Fibromyalgia which causes me problems.
We are glad that you decided to join us and want you to know that you are not alone. If there is anything that we can help you with, we will be more than willing to help you in any way that you can.

Again....Welcome :D
Peace and Blessings

Hi Still Blessed,

My doc thought that I might have Celiac because of my problems with barretts and gerd, but alas it can not be explained away so easily.

I think that it is great that other than that you are doing pretty good.
I have decided to live vicariously through you.:-)

Welcome to the family,

Karen
