Hi Ethan
Haven't heard from you in a while. It was good to see your post, but I'm sorry that you are having a difficult time. I know how frustrating trying to get disability can be. Many of us have had our claims denied, I pray that your application is successful.
You may come here to vent at any time, we are here for you. You are not alone and we want you to know that we truly understand.
I hope that you start to feel better soon :)

Peace and Blessings

ethanadrew,

hang in there and don't give up, things will get better. We have all been there, some more than once. The disability process can be very drueling and make you feel worse but you have to know that things will get better.

Hang in there and keep appealing. As a suggestion if you are not seeing a therapist for the depression I would suggest making an appointment. I am not suggesting this because of the depression or stress. It is simply a matter of logistics. Doctors tend to rush one in and out of the office so they often miss things that can help in the disability application process.

Therapists talk to you about all the aspects of how the illness effects your life. That makes them a great advocate during the disability process. I know for a fact that it helped me when I had to stop working. My doctors really had no idea how bad my quality of life had become because they saw me as a series of 10 minute visits. My shrink was able to confirm the things I said and even made some really great suggestions to help the process.

If you can't afford one try contacting your local hospital they can refer you to someone who can help you for free. I'll be praying things get better for you.

Just wanted to let you know you are not alone . The worst part of this is feeling like you are on an island by yourself.. your not ! Get a therapist involved in the app process - from what I understand they make a HUGE impact in the decision process - if you cannot pay for one - look for a local support group and you may be able to find help via ref from them. I know what you feel as far as the depression is concerned - Me I just keep everything inside about this and thats not healthy - so when I hear someone hurting it just eats me alive - This is a great group of people to vent to - it anyone understands it's us... Happy Holiday- Try to focus on why we are all so blessed .
