Was wondering if members thought a Faith and Fellowship forum would be good for this site.

I, personally, would love to have a faith and fellowship forum here. Perhaps if we set some additional rules, we might be able to avoid some of the arguments. Many people here ask for prayers and such a forum would be a good place to do that and, of course, so many of us just need the fellowship!!
That's my vote

I think it would be a great idea. God is so good, I just chose to leave another Lupus forum due to this rule #10. No posts of an overtly political or religious nature OR posts promoting advocacy of particular personal, medical, legal, religious, political, or non-profit causes. The forums are intended for offering mutual personal support. Debating controversial subjects should be taken elsewhere. Limited religious references are allowed (ie. "my prayers are with you" or a brief quote as part of a larger post), but the forums should not be used to convert others.
I never ever tried to convert anyone.. I offered prayers and did quote the Bible However, when I mentioned the name of Jesus they deleted my post. When I decided to leave and posted why and they locked my post. So yeah I would love faith and fellowship. I don't cram Jesus down anyone's throat but I am not afraid to say His name. So if this is ok I'll stay here and my vote is YES. We would just have to agree not to argue. Agree to disagree could be a rule. Never looking for a fight either.

I think this would be a good idea, particularly because people that wanted to talk about faith would have a place to do so, and those that don't want to wouldn't feel awkward in other forums. Seems like it would meet both needs.

AMEN...AND AMEN.....ABSOLUTELY....too many have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us to enjoy the freedoms that were so boldly fought for.
SO BRING ON THE FAITH AND FELLOWSHIP....I THINK IT WILL BE A GREAT SOURCE OF COMFORT, RENEWAL, AND A PLACE TO HEAL !!

If we go in with the understanding that there are many paths up the mountain (to quote a Hindu man I once knew), and that in sharing, we broaden our vision and our lives, I think the forum will be one of sharing and growth.

I think it would be awesome to be able to share how our faith gets us through the different challenges -- it would be incouraging for others to read!

Well, admin......I see a wonderful pattern developing here. Can we do it, pretty please? I honestly believe that sharing with others about what keeps our spirits up, our hopes renewed.....will be inspirational for others and life-saving for some.
Prayerfully hoping that this thread will be started soon,

He pops in now and then to check on how we are doing. I am sure that, the next time he pops in, he will let us know how is progressing!!

Thanks, Suze. How are you? What are you up to these days?

I've been reading (and enjoying) all of your posts, as usual. I'm doing pretty well. My Fibromyalgia has been causing me lots of problems, but I continue to try to exercise every day (oh my God, it hurts!) and afterwards, I have to rest for a couple of hours
I am very, very, concerned about Marycain and she has been on my mind almost all day, every day. I am praying that she is o.k.
My singing partner and I have been getting some pretty good gigs. We will open for the Platters and other groups on the 26th of this month and I am really jazzed about that. Daily rehearsals and swimming are the two things that keep me centered (Like your thread about music..it is so good for the soul).
So how are you. I am so happy to see you here and I do hope that your health is, at the very least, manageable. I miss you terribly when you are away and, as you can tell, I worry! I am a worrier, I know :?
Hope All Is Well and I am blessed to have you here (as are we all)!
Peace and Blessings

Saysusie how was Marycain the last time(s) she posted? I tried to check but it seemed health wise she had no complaints. But then again she's not much of a complainer. I've been concerned too. I'm still wondering if it was a computer crash. You know how that goes.

I too have been very concerned for Marycain and was hoping you had heard from her by now but I have been keeping her in my prayers-prayerfully it is nothing serious.

I noticed that Marycain had not been posting as often as she usually had, and then she stopped posting altogether. Don't know if that has anything to do with her absence. I'm so concerned.......just keep praying for her. I truly hope it's a technology problem and nothing to do with her health, or her family.
