Hi all, its been quite a while since my last post.
Well, here I am. Hope all are still well.

Anyway, now to subject at hand.
I've been getting some severe headaches (for the past few years).
All on the one side of my head (left side)
A throbbing pain that makes my whole side of my head and upper part of my jaw pain.

It is consistent and persistent. infact a day without a headcahe is one i still need to see.

Even the eye on my left side has been affected.

Well, spoke to my Dr. bout this, he suggested a staedy dose of pain killers ( 2 or 3 a day) wheteher there is a headache or not.
ANd says if the symptoms still persist (which I'm sure they will)

He might need to do a CT Scan to check for tumours
to be safe.

Is this the right cause of action, especially with the painkillers.

Could anyone please advise on tumours and lupus please.

Very desperate

Morpheus, have you seen a neurological specialist? Lupus can affect the brain and central nervous system, and it can cause migraine-like headaches and even seizures. So any new, persistent headache in a lupus patient might be a sign of central nervous system involvement. But that really needs to be ruled out by the appropriate tests, like a MRI of the brain, before treatment starts - to be sure it is actually lupus-related. Pain killers just treat the symptoms, not the underlying cause of your headaches. So if you aren't seeing a neurologist yet, I would strongly recommend trying to get in to see one. Or at least talk to your doctor about doing the tests first, rather than just prescribing painkillers and hoping the problem resolves.
