Hey, I'm not sure about it being part of Lupus, but check with your Pharmacist and see if any of the meds you are on could be canceling out the calcium in your food or vitamins.
Sometimes certain meds can do that to calcium, Which you need for your teeth and bones. If you have any bone issues Like bad disks in your back or other issues, then those issues will include your teeth so they might need to put you on a supplement. This maybe useless info, but I hope it helps.

Also, ask your doctor about the possibility of Sjogren's Disease.... It can cause all sorts of problems with your mouth, as well as your eyes and stuff... Do your mouth and throat get dry for seemingly no reason? How about your eyes?
Ask and see if this could be a possibility for you...

According to my doc it NOT ONLY has affected my teeth but is the main reason why i have so many back problems as in broken vertabrae....
That's what makes this diease so incidious it does what IT want to do .

Are you on any diuretics, or any other medications that dry you out? Because that could do it, too... But, ask about the Sjogren's (Show-grens) it can't hurt to explore the option...

thanks again :) i was just talking to my mum and she has a friend with it.. sounds nasty.. at the moment it seems that every time i go to the doctor with any kind of problem, he says "well diz that will be the lupus then" :( still neve rmind it could be worse huh no im not on an diaretics, thankfully.. goodness knows the state i would be in if i was lol. i have managed almost 3 litres today i think.. so thats 2 i have to drink tomorow and so long as the measurements on my chart come out ok i dont have to be admitted in again *phew*
Hi the Dizzy,
It is great to see a fellow brit on here.
Which hospital are you under? If you can try and get yourself into Southampton. They have a specialist Lupus Unit and a great team of Dr's. The last major flare I had I got my mum to drive me to their A+E so that I got admitted there as Reading didnt seem to be treating the Lupus very proactively.
I hope your GP is being very supportive.

I have had a terrible time with my teeth as well over the last year and have not made the connection to my condition until now
