Hey all.
So i've never really experienced a lupus face rash before until now, which kind of worries me...especially since i've actually been feeling quite well lately. I don't understand why out of nowhere, 5 years post diagnosis I develop one.

Since i've never experienced them before, i'm unsure as to what I should do in terms of relieving the pain and irritation? It's so itchy and burns and I don't know what to do about it!?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks <3

I use hydrocortisone cream. I get it at the $ Store which is a fraction of what it would cost anywhere else. Aloe Vera gel, directly from the plant works too.

i have found that prolonged usage of hydrocortisone can have a side effect .....
it is listed that skin "thinning" is a known side effect.
you need to use it for while, and reasonably often for this to be an issue.
the skin is constantly regrowing, so as soon as you stop using the cream, the skin will rebuilt.

i am currently using olive "oil soap"
this soap is not designed to heal or cure.
it is designed to soothe. and it does that well.
i apply twice daily.
i use the unperfumed as it is "more pure" and has less of the things we dont want.

Cetaphil face lotion works alright, it's easy on the skin. Another I love is corona multi-ointment cream and that works best for me
