myfortic has 2 basic uses. the most usual is for kidney transplant patients. it is used to help stop rejection. the second usual reason is for those who have severe kidney problems. these of course are not the only reason. more and more medications are now being used for there side effects.

Hi I take myfortic. I was on cellcept but had a heck of a time keeping it down. Myfortic is basically the same thing it's just absorbed differently. I still have tummy issues but not nearly as bad as with the cellcept. I'm still suffering with swollen joints and stiffness now that the weather has changed it getting worse. My first onset off lupus they believe was way back in 1986 when I out of nowhere came ill with glomerular nephritis . It's wasn't until nov of 2012 that I had an official sle dx. The reason my rheumy chose cellcept/myfortic is it suppresses your immune system but protects your kidneys. Hope that helps.
