Hi peeps!

So I have a water infection...haven't been to the drs yet. I was/am hoping it will clear up on its own without antibiotics. Is this a stupid thought? I've had it about 56 hours now and some of the time it's bearable, but I'm having 4 hour bouts of constant stinging/desperation for the loo...

I know they are uncomfortable, but it's pretty bad at times. I had a two hour bath yesterday in an attempt to stop the pain. Bicarbonate of soda in water is helping sometimes as is paracetamol.

How long do I leave it before making an appointment for anti-biotics? I do hate to make a fuss! LOL

Advice gratefully received!

I would just go to the doctor, you have to remember that any kind of infection for us lupies can be serious for us.

So I went. 7 days of antibiotics and some decent pain meds. Think my immune system is going nuts since I have vasculitis up both my legs now...how exciting. can't wait for the tablets to do their stuff!

Have a lovely day peeps!

My I just offer a small piece of advice??
Please, please, never take an infection for granted. As Lupus patients, if we do not get immediate treatment for infections, it can lead to something very serious. If you even think that you may have some form of infection, please see your doctor immediately. It is much better to over react than to under react!

Peace and Blessings

Cranberry juice can be beneficient, but of course not instead of a seeing a doctor. I was not allowed to post the link but Webmd has an article about it under 'Women's Health'.
