Today marks the passing of our fab moderator Rob's best friend and hero.

As many of you know, Rob shared a special bond with his Dad, Bob. A bond that many of us would never have been fortunate enough to have experienced.

Remember your Dad today, Rob, and all the fantastic times that you shared flying planes, rebuilding cars, driving boats and yes, his flirting with the nurses.

Know that the world is a better place because of all of your Dad's contributions-and yes, that includes you-as you take a walk down memory lane.

We love you, Rob, and our thoughts are with you.

Thank you all for the kind words, and for caring.

I knew the one year anniversary of Dad's death would be difficult, but I had no idea just how hard it really would be. The images, the things I saw that day, came back in a flood of memories that were incredibly real. We went to the Veterans Cemetery and put some fresh flowers on his grave. It was warm, sunny, and nice. There is a wall of remembrance there that's much like the Vietnam Memorial Wall at Arlington National Cemetery. It has the names of all the Veterans buried there engraved on it. It takes time to engave all the names in the marble, so Dad's name isn't there yet, but the curator told us it will be soon.

I'm glad that day is now behind me. I've set my sights on accomplishing some significant things this summer. Things that I have dreamed of doing, of completing. Things that would put a big smile on his face.

Thank you, to all my friends here. I could not get through these events without you,

Rob
