Not really, but my wife has been dealing with RA, OA, Fibro, IBS and several other more "normal" issues for many years now.
(She was diagnosed with juvenile RA around age 8, 44 now.)
Most of her past/present meds many of you here would recognize since many of the AIs are treated similarly.
And life goes on.....
Hello! It sounds like your wife has an understanding partner.. she is lucky!

Hi there zedoctor, and welcome to WHL. What sort of care is your wife under right now; ie, what kind of doctors, and how often have they checked her out? I was diagnosed with "regular" RA in 1992, and have just kept adding to my "collection" of AI stuff ever since... btw, be sure and browse around the site, being sure to read the "stickie" threads at the top of each section.

She sees a rheumatologist every 6 weeks or so.
Besides pain meds, she is on Prednisone & Methotrexate for the arthritis.
They tried plaquenil a few years ago, but it made her quite sick.
She had her best luck with Mobic a few years ago, but of course they pulled the plug on that one.
Unfortunately She won't try any of the newest biologicals because the potential side effects scare the hell out of her.
(And She has a history of reacting "weirdly" to meds. The phrase "I've never seen that reaction before" has been VERY common over the years.)
Thanks for the warm welcome.
(No, not an MD)
Hey Doc, It's good to hear from you my friend!
