Hi,
When I have flare ups I noticed that my right side hurts like a dull ache. I've also noticed that my feet hurt a lot. It feels like I ran a million miles and then walked on needles. Almost as if I constantly wore high heels. My feet feel like this even before I get up in the morning and then continue to feel like that all day. My current pain med is norco and it doesn't help. I was on lortab for years 2004-until last month and it is no longer effective. I don't know what other pain med to ask for because my kidney specialist refuses to allow me to take anything that has nsaids in it. (although he refuses to give me pain meds). Anyway, has anyone ever had this feeling or is it something I need to ask my rhemy about?

Ugghhh I know exactly what your going through. My feet are always one of my worse pains, they always swell. And lately I have been getting pain in the heal of my foot like now I can't even walk on them. Anyway it comes and goes depending on how my health is but usually my feet swell and hurt at least once a day. Try soaking them in some hot water and epsom salt, that helps for me. Oh and I know this sounds kind of gross but I let my dogs lick my feet if they hurt really bad, I love foot massages so it's the next best thing I could come up with on a budget. :)

I'm the same too! I was just saying the other day to my partner that I feel like I've been wearing high heels, even when I've just woken up....like did I actually sleep last night or was I out on the town dancing like a looney til 4am?!
The foot soak is a good idea...and I must agree with the dog thing too, as gross as it is! Unfortunately the dog I live with at the minute isn't a massive foot licking fan....might have to move back to south Australia because I know a good golden retriever/malamute cross there who would automatically know which joints were hurting and would come give them a lick.

If my dogs arn't really into it I will put lotion on my feet...they seem to love it! As gross as that is. My cat sits with me if I am nauseous and sitting by the toilet.

I have this, too.
I've been told two things - Raynaud's and neuropathy. I don't know if it's one of those, or both.
The thing that is helping me a lot is taking neurontin.
I've noticed that mine gets worse when I drive. Stress, maybe?
Hugs,
Marla

Thanks guys, I'd have to cover my feet in peanut butter to get my dogs to lick them, lol. I do have stress, and Raynaud's. It almost seems like when I'm in a flare up, its on one side only and then the foot thing. I have a really stressful case coming up and my boss agreed that it was way too stressful for me. I was starting to have panic attacks and all. So that is gone. Maybe we all need to find really cute guys that love to give out foot massages. :wideeyed:
