View Full Version : Lupus: How and why we should listen to our bodies

This month I had an amazing wonderful chance; to watch my granddaughters compete in not one but two Georgia state championships. Aleah's softball team won their 6A class championship. Brie's cross country team is just starting out and they came in 18 out of 37 teams. It was very exciting. Softball was tiring but I did no damage to myself. Today though I think I overdid. Every muscle in my body hurts. I forgot to take a chair with me. There was a lot of walking and standing. I'd love to soak in a hot tub but the HW heater is not working right.

I listened to my body when it said enough and started for the car. I just made it to the car. I wish I'd have gone back sooner; but I wanted to be a part of Brie's day.

My battery I'd dying so I'm done for now

I know what you mean. I've tended to overdo it when it comes to my grandkids, too.
Take it easy, girl. Rest up and get to feeling better before you get out there and overdo it again.

I'm sure your granddaughters appreciated your being there today, Nonna.

It's difficult, sometimes, to call it a day when there's so much fun to be had. But, years of experience has told me that if I don't listen to my bod I'll be paying for it later.

Feel better!
