Hi everybody,

A few of you have mentioned about a symptom journal. I was wondering if anyone else has a medical records journal? I'm just starting mine! I call the lab office today to get my records sent to me from 2007 to present BECAUSE my rheumy was doing the four out of eleven test for Lupus and has no way to prove myself because my current labs were fine as well as my u/a. Ugh my luck...so now I'm taking control. I thought I was prepared with my notes symptom log meds lists...but NO. I am not letting this happen again.

I hope this helps someone else especially on their first rheumy visit!

many of us keep a medical journal.
some only keep a list of abnormal test results.
most try to keep it brief, as doctors hate to try to read "books".

I do. Like Steve said I also keep a list of all of the "abnormal" test results to give to the doc for just the reason he mentioned.

I do make sure to keep copies of all of my records (MRI's included) so that I can take them with me to the doctor and I will never be put off because they are waiting on something.

I love it thanks for the suggestions! I have had 4 CT scans since February and 8 xrays I will definitely add those in there...I have probably only had two normal results but hey that is a few sheets!

Thanks
