Does anyone know anything about the latest clinical trials with the drugs classified as the JAK3 Inhibitors? My rheumy does lots of trials and one of my family friends is in phase 3 of this drug trial and she has had fantastic results when nothing else has helped her. Supposedly one of the drug manufacturers is coming out with something involving this class of drugs in august. Anything I've found online is way too far over my head to understand so I thought I would ask y'all....

Excuse the typing errors but I am on my phone...

This appears to be the first drug that actually works on the inflammation process itself, ie, it never lets it begin. That would be a huge breakthrough in the treatment of AI diseases. Steve is correct that it is mostly be tested on RA but it appears it could help many of us.

The one thing to keep in mind is that it is early but it does seem to have a pretty high rate of serious side effects but this is something that will have to be watched as the trials continue

I will say this does look promising and it is just nice to FINALLY see ssome new drugs on the horizon
