View Full Version : ROB's cyber gifts

03-19-2012, 11:15 PM
as many of you know, rob is going through a pretty hard time at the moment.
usually i would like to find a small gift of something that rob likes just to chear him up.

as we are a cyber family and live so far apart........
i thought it would still be nice to give rob the thought of the gift.
so i have started this thread for cyber gifts from his cyber family.

it must be something you know will make rob happy.
gifts or cards are acceptable.

being cyber ...... please add pictures.

I love this idea! My mom went through this and I have no clue what I would give but I will figure something out and give it

Mini arcade kit to give you something to do. I figured they would keep your fingers and your brain busy.

As close to a hug as I can give

You guys and gals never cease to amaze me. You all have managed to give me a smile on a day where there is very little to smile about.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Steve beat me to the baked goods, but mine are special. I love to bake and cook for the people that I care about. These are called Better than Sex Cupcakes. I'm putting the recipe here for you, so that you can get someone there to bake them for you. I'll include the picture later, when Jeff can help me to transfer the pic from the camera to my computer.
Love & Hugs,

1 box chocolate cake mix (I like Betty Crocker Supermoist triple choc.)
1 6 oz. box inst. Choc. Pudding mix
4 eggs
cup oil
cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
8 oz sour cream
6 oz. choc, chips (I like Ghiradelli)
cup chopped pecans
Coat pecans and choc. Chips with 1 tbls. Cake mix. Mix remaining ingredients together. Fold in choc. chips and pecans. Bake at 350 for about 50 minutes in a bunt pan, or 35-40 minutes in cupcake pan. Cool before frosting.
• 8 ounces good semisweet chocolate chips (like Ghiradelli)
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
Cook the chocolate chips, heavy cream, and instant coffee in the top of a double boiler over simmering water until smooth and warm, stirring occasionally. Top cupcakes or cake while ganache is still warm.
Note: It’s much quicker to simply melt the chips in the microwave and then stir in the cream and a tablespoon of coffee from the coffeemaker until the mixture is smooth and shiny. Just be careful not to burn the chips.

I would give Rob a sack of big, sweet oranges off of my orange tree.
