This morning, my son called from school to tell me that he was having issues with his vision and was having headaches. His pediatric nephrologist wanted him checked out at our local er. Creatinine was 1.9 on Monday and today 3.0. Needless to say we are currently sitting in his hospital room. Dr is thinking that his bp is too low. Hoping for a VERY short visit this time.
Oh my! Please keep us posted. I hope all goes well

That was a good call on Dylan's part to call you and get this checked out quickly. I hope that it's just a matter of adjusting his meds and that he gets to go home soon. Keep us updated!
I hope he's OK, and that this is a short visit.

Well, C3, C4 are stable. No active lupus or TMA. They are thinking that since they have started to lower his prednisone that all the bp meds got to be too much for him and it was dropping his bp. Just gave him 5mg of lisinapril. Bp had started to creep back up. They said that this drug is good for him cuz it decreases the amount of protein in the urine. Dylan is doing good. Sounds like we'll be here til Sunday so that they can monitor him. U/S of his kidneys I think looked good.
So nice to know that there are people on here that know what I'm talking about, cuz explaining to family is really getting annoying. Thanks again!!!!

That is good news! It takes a while to get meds adjusted correctly. I hope that he is soon back to his studies and feeling better.

Well, we got more good news this morning!! Creatinine is back down to 1.6!!!! His is normally between a 1.7 - 2.0. No labs needed tomorrow!!! Nephrologist would like 1 day with stable bp. They added back 5mg Lisinapril and 200mg Labetelol. When we go home, there will be NO more nifedipine, or clonidine patch!!!!! She said that if his bp's cooperate today we can always change up bp meds at home. Thanks again for the support!!! On Thursday we see the dr. that will do his cateract surgery for evaluation. Happy St. Patricks Day!!!
A little good news can go a long way. A whole lot of good news is even better! I'm glad all is well.
