as some of you know,
i have had a few problems with my brain.

i have had brain pauses.
these have led to quite a few problems,
the latest was me driving a lawn mower over my foot.

well after months of testing.......
and thousands of tax payers dollars,
not to mention about 1000 of my own.

the docor saw me today.

i have a brain........
and it works.

lol

i do not have the 2 things i was scared of.
i do not have any epileptic activity.
i do not have decreased blood flow issues.

the nuerologist cannot explain my problems,
and does not know where to go from here.
he suggest that, all we can do is wait to see if it gets worse.

how much worse can it get than......
driving the wrong way, with no recolection of the drive (over 1 hours driving).
cutting my jeans with a chainsaw. (stopping short of my leg).
driving a lawnmower over my boot. (damaging, but not severing, my toes)

at least i know i have a brain lol.

Well my friend, that is good news, but it is bad as well, when nobody can figure out, where your brain "outage" is coming from. It must be very scary and means you have to be very careful.
I hope things get better for you.

Congratulations! I remember how I felt when I found out that I, too, have a brain! They couldn't figure out where my problems where coming from either. That was a few years ago, though, and now I'm going to have to go back in and see if I still have a brain! lol

I'm relieved that you aren't a scarecrow, however, I wish you'd gotten an answer about the pauses you're having.

I've gotten lost in my own neighborhood. Scary.

Stay away from power tools.

It is always wonderful news when we find out someone has a brain! I wish the docs had more answers for you than the obvious.

L O L....I have had similar experiences (with the car, but not the mower, thank goodness!!! Ouch!!!!) - that plus migraines sent me to a Neuro a couple of years ago and it was GREAT to be able to confirm to my teenage daughter that yes, indeed - we have solid medical evidence that her mother DOES in fact have some grey matter between her ears, contrary to popular opinion.... ;-)

I hope they can find out what's going on, but it IS nice to rule out the ugly stuff with a scan.

Ditto to what Mari said. You're always there. So glad you have a brain. I have mine check every 4-5 months. No pauses, just short circuits.

Thanks for being you

Steve,
I am also glad that we now know that you have a brain. I do wish that the docs could have explained your brain pauses, though.
It seems that these AI diseases can do a lot to our neurological systems that the docs just don't understand.
So, be careful! Don't go near another power tool, ever.

I've had to restrict the amount of driving that I can do, since I never know when my leg will spasm while I'm driving. It's the pits.
I've always loved to drive, and I used to think nothing of taking a 300- 400 mile trip all by myself. Now, I get shaky if I drive 5 miles.
I guess that it is better for us to be safe than sorry, right?
Hugs,
Marla

You should probably steer clear of woodchippers, sausage grinders, and fireworks until you get this figured out...(insert smiley face)
