well we went to specialist today stephens heart rate was extremely low only beating 40 beats . also at times to fast he has to wear heart monitor for 24 hours and then have stress test specialist says he will have to have pacemaker so i am worried with sleep apnea and his muscle weakness from stroke . he is tired from not getting enough bloodflow in his heart had to drag him out of bed this morning and he has had chest pain for a few days now. so i am a bit stressed at moment doctors have said if he feels funny need to call ambulance straight away as his heart could stop beating. well thankyou for listening to me venting , hope you are all having good day hugs .

Wow! I'd be more than "a bit stressed" if my husband was told that. I am so sorry, Kim. Please keep in touch and let us know what all this testing shows. A pacemaker would probably lower his risk with sleep apnea and stroke, so that may be a good thing! No wonder you had to drag him out of bed with a heart rate that low. I hope you get answers quickly so everyone can fell better!

well he is no better extremely dizzy, and tired wants to sleep al the time which is not like him, has been using nitrolingual spray nearly everyday, his breathing is laboured and he feels like he is not getting enough oxygen, and chest pain. his heart rate is still extremely low. he is now complaining of headaches am watching him for sins of another stroke or heart attack is very hard to sleep i am frightened that he may get sick in his sleep or his heart will fail and i will not hear him. very scary time but i will perservere there is worse off people than me. its funny really our wedding vows said for better or worse, richer and poorer and sickness and in health. well i am wondering when i am getting the better , the richer and the health. sorry just a bit of dried humour. hugs everyone and may your days ahead be filled with happiness and less pain.

Kim, have you talked to the doctor in the last 24 hours? With a heart rate in the 40's it's amazing he is able to do anything at all. The nitro spray would only make that worse, and it could be causing the headache. If he were my husband I would be in the ER demanding that he be admitted. When are his tests scheduled? I have a cardiac nursing background and your description makes me very concerned. I was pretty shocked at your first post when you said they sent him home to wait for testing. If you do take him to the hospital, tell them you have lupus and can't watch him around the clock.

no gizmo have not talk to to doctors specialist will be putting halter monitor on on the 6th of this month but will not do stress test till 12 of january do to no appointments. cannot demand anything from er around here they just get security. last time 2 years ago he went to hospital with severe headache they sent him home with sinus tablets he had mild heart attack stroke and ross river fever. he had episodes like this when he was in hospital but nothing was done just told us it was because he was so sick but in last few months he has become extremely worse. i have never seen him so tired or short of breath. but i can assure you if he is not any better by the 6th i will demand specialist do something or if his condition worsens over next few days i will be calling paramedics. thankyou for your concern and for confirming that the fact that his heart is only 40 is dangerous. i am really worried,

Well they placed heart monitor on him today for 24 hours . But before they could do that he became ill and nearly colapsed they checked his heart rate and it had dipped to 38 beats. Nurse was very concerned called specialist in he is worried to he definetly thinks something is wrong but still after nurse requested that they do his stress test earlier than january he just said he was to busy to fit him in. Specialist thinks he probably will not be able to do stress test anyway because of his heart rate, in the mean time what am i to do just carry on checking on him, shake him or yell at him to wake him up he gets puffed just showering or brushing his hair. I have become so scared to sleep as i worry if i go to sleep i may wake up and he will have died in his sleep. It is so hard for me because my grandfather died from massive heart attack and so did my father.its like i am reliving it all over again. On top of that my eldest daughter sarah goes in for more surgery next week. My stress levels are through the roof. I think my husband should be in hospital but apparently he has to have heart attack or go into cardiac arrest before anything is done. Nothing seems to be done when it is around christmas. Sorry i am a bit scared and crazy right now ranting on thanks for listening hugs to all .

THINKING OF YOU KIM. SO SORRY for all the ooky news lately. My thoughts are with Sarah as well. I have endimetreosis too. We had surgery planned a couple of months ago BUT my diagnosis of MS put it on hold for now. My drs didnt want my body to go through that surgery and recovery time. We were all worried i'd get WORSE and not BETTER in some ways. So, my dr is going to put in a "Mirena" to stop my periods which they say will in turn slow down (if not stop) the progression of the endimetreosis. Its also good to do because it doesnt release anything into my blood stream (since my body reacts poorly to meds), it only releases it into my uterus. Check into it, it might be an option for Sarah. FINGERS CROSSED!!!
