Have been so nervous about getting my chest x ray and it was all over in like, 30 seconds!! I had to take my tops off but wear a gown and it was painless and easy!

Now will be worrying about them finding things I didnt know I had wrong (just my luck!!)

Hi Nikki,

Try not to worry as you may be ok, as alot of member's have had them and been fine and worry won't help you one bit concerning your lupus mate as Lupus thrieves off stress and worry besides depression, so until you find out try and carry on as normal but i do wish you all the best concerning your results and when did they say you'd get them??

Like yourself i've had loads of x-rays mate and they did a few from when i was in the day unit for my kidneys...and when i saw the blood specialist about them i got no answer, hopefully you'll do better than me.lol

Hugzzzzz you way Terry xxxxx

I'm glad it went easily for you (: I always worry about things - especially things to do with my health and those scary doctors- but most of the time they turn out better than I'd thought. Which is stupid, because I get all worked up for nothing and spend the rest of the day getting over stressing out - not getting over what I was stressing over! hehe

Here's hoping everything turns out wonderfully

H ha! yes that is me too. I am a natural worrier when it comes to my health. Even when I know I am being irrational, I cant help it!

Should get results in 8 days they said. But if something was wrong I wouldnt probably have already heard surely so I am going to stop worrying! (for a change!)

I don't know how it works in the UK, but here they send the X-rays off to a specialist who reads them after the doctor and it takes a week or two the get the report back. I'm waiting for the time to go back for my second one. They want to Check my progress. I'm a worrier also but after all these years, I've come to the point that worrying doesn't change anyway so why bother.

Good Luck and Good Thoughts for you

YAYY! Go you Mrs. Ceasing To Worry!
I wish I could do that... my boyfriend seems to have this amazing switch - "it doesn't make any difference if you worry, and it's not going to help anything, so i'm not going to worry". the big butt! He seriously sometimes doesn't care! Man I wish I were like that..LOL.

Still, just take it one day at a time and try not to think about it - and when it comes, if - IF- it's something bad, then you can just take it one day at a time then too.

I've only just realized mate through Nonna (Toni) pointing something out about how the results work in the UK.

I had my leg scanned recentley to see if i had DVT again and the man who scanned my leg said the results will be emailed through to your doctor today and i said i did'nt think they did that now as you've always had to wait at least 2wks for results to come back and he said no they can be emailed through now straight away.

I thought i'd let you know about that for the future.

I am using this opportunity to say welcome to you Nixxie, I have been away for a few weeks busy with work reports and interstate at a work conference, so I have seemed to have missed you when you joined.

I will also add what many people have told you, you don’t need to worry about something until you have been told it is a problem. Over the past few months, my doctors have been telling me that I have some sort of cancer. I could have been so upset, and really made myself sick, but I am determined to get better and fight to get my health back.

First I was told I may have tongue cancer - The tests say NOPE I don’t ... Then I was told I may have leukaemia - The tests say NOPE I don’t ... Then I was told I may have bone cancer - The tests say NOPE I don’t .... I wonder what cancer I am suppose to have when I see a new specialist on Friday ... but as usual, the tests will say NOPE I don’t have any sort of cancer.

If I am unlucky enough to finally find out that I do actually have some sort of cancer, then I will worry, cry, scream, sob, then get on with my life. There is so much more to live for than to constantly worry about what I might have, I have enough to worry about with what I already do have.

As Bobby McFerrin sings: ” In your life expect some trouble ..... But when you worry ....You make it double ....Don't worry, be happy...... "

Once you go through these things a few times, the monster doesn't look nearly as big, or as scary. I try to not worry about things, but it's definitely easier said than done sometimes.

Linda..I love that song, one of my ALL TIME favorites and I have always loved that video. I wish it had played the entire video because it just gets crazy LOL.

Nixxie; I just want to take a moment to also welcome you to our family and to piggy back on what everyones else has said. Worrying does us no good at all, it worsens our symptoms and can even cause new one. As Linda said, let us worry when something actually happens, let us not worry about what may or may not happen.
I am glad that the test was so easy, I am praying that the results will be negative for any issues. But, regardless of what the results are, try to take things one day at a time and "Don't Worry..Be Happy" LOL
Peace and Blessings
Namaste

Come tomorrow i hope you've carmed down in yourself and try to take it in your stride i know it's not so simple to say but it's a better way of handling issues.
